1. How long my soul, will thou confuse,
What God hath called thee to live for
With things of no ‘ternal value –
Such that you’ve wandered from His will?
Lord, call on me, while my heart stray,
Restore my zeal and zest for You;
My focus align, cause to stay,
On Christ; make me fisher of men!
2. How long my soul, will thou not grasp
That all labours done on this earth,
But not within God’s express will
Will bring much toil, yet with no spoil?
3. Let me always see the difference,
In building lives and mere structures;
Teach me to know that great houses
Will not compare with godly homes.
4. My utmost cry is to be ‘done’,
Truly ‘done’ in disciple-ship;
Then I will no more go astray
And on live’s path keep me to stay!
